Lowest Score of 2018 in April 25th Express Entry Draw

The most recent Express Entry draw was the lowest score thus far in 2018. The April 25th draw saw 3,500 invitations issued to apply for Permanent Residency, with a low-score threshold of 441 required for invitation. This is down from the April 11th score of 444, which also resulted in 3,500 invitations to apply.

The consecutive 3,500 invitations to apply in the previous two rounds of invitation are tied for the highest of 2018, and confirm the government’s 2018 commitment to invite a record number of people through the Express Entry system, with a target of 74,900. This target will continue to rise in 2019 with a target number of 81,400, and these rising numbers of invitations are anticipated to produce some of the lowest scores in the history of the Express Entry system.

As always, Express Entry remains a wonderful option for potential immigrants with a post-secondary education, good English language abilities, and acceptable work experience.
